Drop stitch cowl`

Hey Gang!

So it's been a very long time since I updated. I found a scarf pattern I love and managed to repurpose into a cowl. Miss genius here didn't look at the yardage of her yarn and had just enough to make about a foot of pattern. I am posting a link to the project on ravelry.com for both the cowl and the scarf. You can get it here. Hope everyone is doing well and I will keep on knitting. I am working on a very time intensive cable scarf that if I can manage to get some good light and a few hours to kill I can get really going. Hoping to post that one here in the next month. Later guys hope everyone is doing well!!

Love,
Ditzy.

HA HA I posted the wrong post on the wrong blog!

Well I have been away from the knitting for awhile, and as always, I will try to get back in the swing now that schools out. I have been having a ball in the kitchen as you can see here at my ditzy kitchen blog. I have been making the cream of spinach scarf a lot though just because I think it is a great pattern. But keep checking in and I will keep posting on ditzy kitchen. Posting one on homemade stock today.

Much love!,

Cream of Spinach Scarf

Ok so I am in love with this pattern, the Cream of Spinach scarf! It's by Stitch Marker's Larissa Brown and it is a really lovely, yet challenging, pattern. You can check out her on rav and her blog as well as find the pattern on both of the linked pages. Also it makes those awesome points at the bottom all on its own. Also if any help on the pattern just check out the DK group here. Hope everyone has a great week and happy knitting!!! Also I hope everyone has a great Easter! *even if it's only for the awesome cookies and cadbury eggs!!*

Ditzy

It's about time!

It has been a LONG time since I last posted anything. I apologize for that, between school and work and getting engaged I have had almost no time for anything! I haven't been able to do as much knitting as I'd like but I thought I'd share a pattern and a neat yarn my fiance's mom got me.
First off, the pattern! This Taos cabled scarf, from Crystal Palace Yarns, is pretty fun and provides a nice challenge.

Just a note on this pattern, try and knit loosely because it's easy for this pattern to turn out way to stiff, like my first attempt did*pictured above*

Ok Second,

So I wanted to share this crazy yarn I got. It's from red heart and it's called "Pomp a doodle" and its little pre made pom poms. Looks like the only thing you can really do with it is make a scarf but it's fun to use, picture on the right.

Well thats all for me this week. Thanks for putting up with the long break folks.
Happy Knitting,
Ditzy

Brief Hiatus

Well,
It's finals time, hence why I have been slow with the updates, also I am sure most of us are busy with our holiday projects! My cloth madness is still in effect and as soon as I get the few I am making finished I will be posting the patterns for them, hopefully before the holidays are over lol. Well I just wanted to make a short post and make it official that till finals are done I am on hiatus. If anyone wants to contribute or make posts while Im out please email me and I'll get you set up!

Cloth madness

I have been in love with knitting little cloths lately. I made up a simple pattern, I am sure I am not the first to do this pattern, but here it is. Makes a nice clean looking pattern in the front and a nice flat back.

CO 36 on size 7 needles.
knit 4 rows
row 1, and every odd row, knit 3, purl 30, knit 3
row 2, and every even row, purl 3, knit 30, purl 3
continue for 41 rows total
then knit 4 rows and cast off!

SUPER SIMPLE, and kind of fun! I like them to use as hot tea pot coasters.
Picture is coming.

WAAYYYY overdue post!

Well I know I have been really REALLY bad about posting and I swear now that I have reliable internet again that more posts will be coming. This week I am featuring one of our own members patterns!! Ms. Meghan Chaney and her really cute Ripple Scarf. Link to the pattern is here.
Picture is one of her finished products! If anyone wants to add their own pictures/patterns/blogs to the group and the blog just let me know! I want to branch this out to make this group more interactive, thinking of adding other contributors and moderators to make this a much better functioning blog. : D I will keep ya'll posted! Much Love,
Ditzy
